Cancellations and Refunds

Snowy Mountain Lodge doesn’t provide refunds for lodge rental cancellations. This includes, but is not limited to; inability to enter the country, travel complications, sickness/injury/family illness and poor weather or snow conditions.  We recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance when you secure your lodge rental date.
*We may allow you to re-schedule the rental for another date of the same season if there is availability. Alternatively you can sell your paid rental to another group or person at the same purchase price for the same season or the next season if cancelled by December 1st and your replacement meets our screening requirements.
If you choose to end your rental stay early there is no refund for the un-used days. *There are no refunds for deposits and in the potential consideration of a refund a $200 per person administration fee is non-refundable.

Poor Weather and/or Snow Conditions

A refund or lodge rental credit will not be granted for delays or cancellations due to bad weather or snow conditions.
For guests who may have to stay an extra night at the lodge there will be no extra charge. For guests who are staging to go into the lodge you need to have a contingency plan in place. As is typical of other operations the staging area is un-sheltered but it is only 1.0 km from the community of Blue River. Ground access provides groups accessibility in poor weather and difficult snow conditions but times may be delayed.

Trip Insurance, Medical Emergency and Evacuation

You must purchase trip cancellation insurance for all modes of transportation and your lodge rental.
In the event of an accident where evacuation is necessary, payment of any rescue or evacuation costs will be the sole responsibility of the injured party.  As emergency evacuations are generally made by helicopter, the costs can be considerable.  We strongly recommend that you consider purchasing Hospitalization and Medical Evacuation insurance (including air evacuation) for your trip (see Trip Insurance). All guests should review their personal health insurance plan to ensure air evacuation/ambulance is included. This kind of insurance is not commonly covered by Canadian or US Health Care programs.
If you require additional insurance we recommend contacting www.travelguard.ca
or
Lifestyle Financial Services at 250.542.8577, or by email at info@lsfs.ca.
