Cancellations and Refunds
Snowy Mountain Lodge doesn’t provide refunds for trip cancellations. This includes, but is not limited to; inability to enter the country, travel complications, sickness/injury/family illness and poor weather or snow conditions. We strongly recommend you purchase trip cancellation insurance when you place a booking with us.
*We may allow you to re-book your trip for another date of the same season if there is availability. Alternatively you can sell your trip to another group or person at the same purchase price for the same season or the next season if cancelled by December 1st.
If you choose to leave early there is no refund for the un-used days. *There are no refunds on deposits and in the consideration of a refund a $200 per person administration fee is non-refundable.
Poor Weather and/or Snow Conditions
No refunds or ski credits will be given for delays or trip cancellations due to bad weather.
For guests who may have to stay an extra night at the lodge there will be no extra charge. For guests who are staging to go into the lodge you need to have a contingency plan in place. As is typical of other operations the staging area is un-sheltered but it is only 1.0 km from the community of Blue River. Ground access provides groups accessibility in terrible weather.
Trip Insurance, Medical Emergency and Evacuation
We highly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance for all modes of transportation and your lodge booking.
In the event of an accident where evacuation is necessary, payment of any rescue or evacuation costs will be the sole responsibility of the injured party. As emergency evacuations are generally made by helicopter, the costs can be considerable. We strongly recommend that you consider purchasing Hospitalization and Medical Evacuation insurance (including air evacuation) for your trip (see Trip Insurance). All guests should review their personal health insurance plan to ensure air evacuation/ambulance is included. This kind of insurance is not commonly covered by Canadian or US Health Care programs.
If you require additional insurance we recommend contacting www.travelguard.ca
Lifestyle Financial Services at 250.542.8577, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Minors (under the age of 19 years) are welcome at Snowy Mountain Lodge. All minors must be accompanied at all times by a parent or adult charged with their care.
Snowy Mountain Lodge does not allow pets.
Heavy Alcohol Consumption
Groups or individuals who are compromising the enjoyment and safety of guests or staff through heavy and excessive drinking will be asked to leave the following day. We love people celebrating and having fun, including social drinking, but we do not support or tolerate obvious drunkenness, disrespect to staff or owners or damage to our property and premises from people stumbling, falling and breaking things when they are drunk. If you or your group is coming to do heavy partying and drink excessive amounts of alcohol please choose another lodge for your vacation.
Each guest must sign a waiver to participate in any Snowy Mountain trip. A booking deposit confirms that you agree to sign the waiver. Our waiver is industry standard and a legal document meant to ensure that you are understand and accept the risks and hazards associated with your Snowy Mountain course, trip or tour. Please read the waiver carefully. Download waiver (.pdf)
You do not need to print, sign or send a copy to us as we will have them available for signing and we will witness them when you arrive for your trip or course.
